This is the site of the residence of a man named Nakajima Ise, who was in charge of making mirrors for the shogunate during the Edo period.
It is said that the famous Katsushika Hokusai was once the adopted son of Nakajima Ise.
Katsushika Hokusai may have lived in this place as a child.
