Miso soup of Shiitake mushroom

This is a miso soup of shiitake mushrooms boiled in soup stock and dissolved in miso.
I also added some leftover chrysanthemum flowers.

The white of shiitake mushrooms when they are cut is beautiful.
Shiitake mushrooms also have a firm texture on the stem and are delicious.]

Hamasaki Watergate

This is the water gate at the point where the Sumida River branches off into the Shin-Tsukishima River.
The teal green gate is a cool water gate.

The Shin-Tsukishima River is a short river with a length of 530 meters.

Hittsumi

It is pronounced "Hittsumi" in Japanese.
It is a type of udon.

It is made by kneading wheat flour.
It looks like udon, but instead of being stretched, it is pinched with the fingers.

It is eaten in hot pot dishes.
It has a sticky texture and is delicious.

I bought this one at the Iwate Ginga Plaza in Ginza 5-chome.

Butter mochi is a local snack from Kita-Akita City in Japan.

The sweet and soft rice mochi, kneaded with butter and sugar, is a delicious snack popular even among children.

I bought the butter mochi in this photo at Iwate Ginga Plaza in Higashi Ginza.

This is a purple edible chrysanthemum.
